Job Summary

In this role, you will work with a variety of disciplines and product groups exploring product concepts and subsystems for Apple products.

Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have many of the following qualifications:

Exceptional problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to fabricate and evaluate functional prototypes while attending to aesthetic details. Demonstrated experience designing assemblies/systems with moving parts. Ability to balance speed and quality of work based on objectives. Independent, self-starter, with good interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills. Strong experience with CAD software such as Solidworks, AutoCad, Unigraphics, etc. Strong experience with rapid prototyping tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, manual mill, manual lathe, CNC mill & lathe. Some experience with programming. Some experience with electronic devices, microcontrollers and sensors. Some experience with data analysis tools like Labview, Matlab, Simulink. A passion for doing the best possible work.

Description As an Interaction Designer, your contributions will include the following:

Design and fabrication of prototype devices that will interface with Apple products. Support concept transfer to Appleā€™s world class product development engineering groups. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting to program needs as required.


A BS or higher degree in mechanical engineering or technically similar field is required.
