OVERVIEW:

The part-time design intern is responsible for assisting the design team in all aspects of the design process and providing support as needed. He or she will be exposed to the design in the home textiles industry. Successful company specializing in Rugs, Kitchen, Bath, and Window Coverings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Provide support to members of the design team

-Archiving samples and materials

-Replenish supply of materials needed for design presentations

-Prepare design materials needed

-Prepare packages to be mailed to customers and to overseas vendors

-Organization of the showroom for customer appointments

QUALIFICATIONS:

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

-Computer skills, Photoshop and Illustrator.

-Ability to take directions and follow through on projects

-Ability to learn quickly

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

-Entry level

-Currently enrolled in College or recent graduate in textile or design program

-Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
