Apply on company website Job Description Facebook is looking for a Quantitative Scientist to join the People and Recruiting Analytics team to design and build scalable analytical solutions to help Facebook recruit, grow and retain people. Finding the best talent and keeping them at Facebook are among the most leveraged problems to solve for the company and this role will be germane to doing that well. This is a full time role based in Menlo Park. ;Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, machine learning, data mining and presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand what Facebook can do to recruit, grow and keep talent;Work with HR and recruiting teams to understand their analytical requirements and translate that into data products;Use statistics to analyze data deeply and publish reports (numbers and story) that will help leaders understand the organization better and will help them take specific actions around people;Constantly learn and explore emerging technologies in the analytics space;Leverage your strong SQL and programming skills to develop insights from data that significantly impact how we run our business;Partner with engineering and data science teams to build the end to end product for HR and recruiting business functions

;Masters Degree or PHD in an Analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Management Science) or other statistically oriented field.; 2 plus years of industry or graduate work experience ;Deeply interested in organizational behavior and in understanding what motivates people;Two years applying statistics and/or machine learning techniques to solving business problems. Prefer 2 years experience with R, Python (NumPy/SciPy/Pandas) and/or MATLAB.;Two years experience coding in SQL;Able to clearly and concisely explain the output of technical analyses to non-technical members of the HR and recruiting business functions;At least two years experience in industry with either a scripting language (Python, Ruby, etc.) or a compiled language (Java, C++, etc.) Company Description Facebook was founded in 2004.
